Frequently asked questions
General
If you’ve reached a point where things don’t quite add up anymore, where you can function, but something feels off underneath; this is usually where this work begins.
Most people who come to me have already tried to “figure it out”, reflect, or push through… and still find themselves in the same emotional patterns.
This work is for when you’re ready to stop managing symptoms and start understanding what’s actually driving them.
A lot of approaches stay at the level of insight; helping you understand your thoughts, your past, or your behaviour. Insight can be helpful, but on its own it rarely creates lasting change.
The focus here is on how those patterns are held in your system, how they show up emotionally, mentally, and physically, and working directly with them so your responses begin to shift at the root, not just at the surface.
It’s less about analysing, and more about changing how things actually feel and play out in your day-to-day life. Sessions typically include discussion, guided exercises, and personalised strategies for long-term change.
People come to me with a range of challenges; sometimes clearly defined, and sometimes harder to put into words.
This can include:
• Anxiety, stress, or ongoing emotional overwhelm
• Fears and phobias that feel out of proportion or limiting
• Unresolved trauma or past experiences that still affect how you feel and respond
• Emotional pain that hasn’t fully shifted, despite time or self-work
Alongside this, many people also notice patterns such as:
• Feeling stuck, even when life looks “fine” on the outside
• Repeating cycles in relationships or behaviour
• Feeling disconnected from themselves or unsure who they are anymore
• A sense that something needs to change, but not knowing where to start
We start by understanding what’s happening for you, not just at a surface level, but what’s sitting underneath it. From there, we work through the patterns that are driving your responses, using a structured approach that allows those patterns to shift rather than just be talked about.
Sessions are active and focused. You’re guided through the process, but you’re always aware and in control. The aim is that things don’t just make sense; they begin to feel different.
Only where it’s relevant and always in a way that feels manageable. You're not expected to revisit everything or go into detail for the sake of it.
Often, we work with how experiences are still affecting you now, rather than staying in the past itself. The focus is on helping you move forward without feeling overwhelmed in the process.
Sessions typically last around 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the focus and the work we’re doing.
They are structured but flexible; we start by understanding what’s coming up for you, and then move into the deeper work needed to shift the patterns behind it.
Some sessions are more focused and specific, while others allow for a deeper process. The length gives us enough space to do meaningful work without rushing.
The number of sessions depends on your individual goals and challenges. Many clients experience significant breakthroughs in just 1-4 sessions, but we’ll assess your progress together and plan accordingly.
I offer both individual sessions and more structured programmes, depending on the level of support you’re looking for.
Because this work is personalised, the most suitable option depends on what you’re working through and the depth of support needed.
We’ll go through this together during your discovery call, so you can choose what feels right for you.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Sessions cancelled within 48 hours, or missed sessions, are charged in full.
The first step is a free discovery call. This is a space to talk through what’s been going on for you, ask any questions, and get a sense of how I work.
From there, you can decide whether this feels like the right kind of support for you.
